MADRID, 21 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Government has criticized the actions of the conservative magistrates of the Constitutional Court, who agreed to urgently suspend the parliamentary process on part of an initiative of the PSOE and United We Can. In his opinion, it is a maneuver without a legal basis and therefore they are still looking for the arguments to justify the decision they made this Monday.

This has been pointed out by government sources who see the movement carried out by the TC as very shameless and believe that today, three days after they made their decision public, they still do not have the arguments to explain it.

The guarantee court decided, by a majority of 6 votes to 5, to urgently suspend the parliamentary process, already in the Senate, of the two amendments by which the system of election and arrival of the two candidates to the TC is modified appointed by the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ), thus admitting the very precautionary measures requested by the PP in its appeal against said amendments.

In addition, the aforementioned sources consider that the PP has gone too far with its strategy, which they describe as an error, and that it has been exposed. They also maintain that the appeal they presented is irresponsible and that it is also bad for them.

Therefore, they interpret that it is a mistake to question the legitimacy of Parliament and although they have achieved a "small victory" in the TC, this does not have any type of legal basis. Along the same lines, they point out that despite everything, the law promoted by the Government will go ahead.

They believe, therefore, that in the end the strategy will not work out for the PP because what will remain is their blockade of justice and the influence they exert over the judicial bodies.

Finally, regarding the plenary session of the TC that is being held at the moment, they do not expect any news in favor of their interests. "There will be a steamroller," they point out in reference to the conservative majority that they expect him to impose his criteria.

Regarding the new bill that the PSOE will present together with its parliamentary allies and that includes the spirit of the amendments that knocked down the TC, from Moncloa they ask to let the groups work and not restrict their parliamentary initiative.

On the other hand, regarding the face to face that the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez and the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, held this Wednesday in the Senate in Moncloa, they consider that the Chief Executive has made an educational speech on paper that his rival has played in the nine months that he has been in charge of the party.

They think that it has become clear that the 'popular' president has no team, no project, while Sánchez has used his intervention to explain what Feijóo has dedicated himself to since he led the PP. "He has been insulting non-stop for nine months," they complain.

They also maintain that once again it has been seen that Feijóo is not autonomous, he cannot make his own decisions and that "there is nothing behind" his project. They therefore see that the chief executive has dismantled his opponent.
