Miki Oca: "We have to give our best version to have a chance of beating the United States"

MADRID, 27 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The national women's water polo coach, Miki Oca, made it clear that they will need their "best version" this Tuesday in their important World Cup quarterfinal match in Hungary against the United States, "a very powerful team, with a very high pace and constant".

"We did not start the championship here in Hungary in our best version, but now this match is coming against a very powerful rival and we have to give our best version to have a chance of winning," Oca said in statements provided by RFEN.

The coach stressed that they are "finishing the last details" to prepare for this vital duel and that this Sunday they already saw "tactics and strategy video" about the rival in their duel against the Netherlands.

"We have to give our best on the water. We know we have to start well and we have to maintain a very good level of play for the 32 minutes. The United States is a very powerful team, with a very high and constant rhythm. We have to play at all times with head, concentration and maximum alert", sentenced Oca.

For her part, player Bea Ortiz recommended "having a cool and strong head." "We know what the United States is like because we have played many times against them. We have a clear objective that we know what it is and we are going to go with everything," she warned.
