The President of Castilla y León, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, has ruled on the central government's response to the rejection of the regional Executive to the official request, ensuring that this statement "is the verification of the deception" of the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez. Likewise, he has defended that it is he who sets the position of the Board on the controversial protocol of measures on abortion.

He has said so in statements to the media from the Castilla y León stand at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR), accusing Sánchez of being "an unscrupulous man who is capable of anything in order to stay in the power".

"It is capable of attacking a community like Castilla y León, which has demonstrated its commitment to Spain throughout history," Mañueco has charged against Sánchez, whom he has accused of sending this requirement as a "smoke screen" not to talk about the reductions in sentences by the law of yes is yes.

In any case, Mañueco believes that the government's response "shows" that the controversy generated as a result of this protocol on abortion "has been a gross manipulation", insisting that the central government "is guilty" of some 200 convicted have benefited from reduced sentences by the law of yes is yes.
