In this sense, the head of the Industry portfolio has been cautious and has not given more details about the projects that have been presented to the electric vehicle Perte because the call ends on June 3.

Regarding the possibility of new gigafactories linked to the automotive sector being installed in Spain, Maroto clarified that "some projects may be a little fair for this call", although he stressed that the Government's commitment to the sector is long-term term and that it has committed itself "to all manufacturers" to continue supporting it.

"We have to be very satisfied that the Spanish and international automobile industry has found in Spain a place of trust in which to invest", highlighted the minister, who also opined that "Spain is going to make a qualitative leap in the automotive industry ".
