The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, has accused the United States of "stabbing him" at the next Summit of the Americas to be held in Los Angeles for its intention to exclude Venezuela, Nicaragua and Cuba.

"The United States government itself took it upon itself to stab the possibility of success at this summit," he declared in an interview with Radio del Sur.

In addition, Maduro has expressed his gratitude and has highlighted the "courage" of more than 25 countries that have expressed their solidarity and their rejection of the US government's exclusion policies.

"It is intended to hold a summit, but that is not a summit, and even less so for the Americas. Almost 90 percent of the governments of the continent have had the courage, in different ways, to express their protest against exclusion," he said. pointed.
