La Eurocámara will ask Marlaska to appear for what happened in the jump to the valla y sopesa misión a Melilla

BRUSSELS, 14 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and the Interior (LIBE) of the European Parliament will ask the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, to appear before MEPs next September to explain the recent incidents in the attempted jump over the Melilla fence in which killed dozens of migrants and will also study sending a mission of MEPs both to the autonomous city and to Morocco.

The decision was made by the coordinators of the parliamentary commission at a meeting this Thursday in Brussels and they will extend the invitation to appear before them to the Spanish Commission for Refugee Aid (CEAR) and the Moroccan Association for Human Rights (AMDH), they have informed Europa Press parliamentary sources.

The commission is also considering sending a mission to the autonomous city and to Morocco to study the situation first-hand, although this initiative and its possible schedule will be discussed again at future meetings.
