IKEA in Spain has appointed María Bahamonde as its new Director of Customer Relations, as reported by the Swedish company in a statement.
Bahamonde has developed his professional career at Ikea for more than 15 years, during which he has held different responsibilities both in Spain and abroad. During the last two years he held the position of executive management assistant in the direction of Ikea in Spain.
Months before, he led Ikea's expansion strategy in India in the central region of the country, from an omnichannel perspective, building the company's position in an important market for Ikea.
After his appointment, Bahamonde has expressed that it is "a privilege" to be able to lead the mission of "having 100% happy customers" with the service. "I take on this challenge with a lot of energy and also with a lot of humility," he added.
For their part, the company has highlighted that the appointment of Bahamonde "is a clear example" of Ikea's commitment to talent, "as well as the possibilities for promotion and internal mobility that it makes available to its employees".
