Iberia Express will operate this Wednesday 96% of scheduled flights on the fourth day of stoppages

MADRID, 31 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Iberia Express plans to operate this Wednesday, the fourth day of the strike called by the USO, 99 flights, which represent 96% of the scheduled flights, since the airline has canceled in advance and preventively two round trip flights (one to Gran Canaria and another to Mallorca) scheduled for today, with the aim of minimizing the impact on our customers.

100% of the 500 passengers affected by these cancellations have already been relocated, either on other Iberia Express flights, Iberia or on other companies or alternative means of transport, as reported by the airline.

"Iberia Express's priority is our customers and, therefore, at a time of maximum influx and in full return operation, we have made the decision to preventively cancel some flights to minimize the impact, ensuring that they are provided with an alternative to all passengers well in advance", he explained.

In addition, the company has activated a flexibility plan for all customers who have a flight until September 6, with which they can change their flight or request a voucher if they wish, by visiting the website: https://blog. iberiaexpress.com/informacion-huelga/.

"At Iberia Express we deeply regret the inconvenience that this situation is causing our customers and we apologize for it," said the firm, which claims to maintain a predisposition to dialogue to find a negotiated solution and requests the USO union, convener of these stoppages , call off the strike and return to the path of dialogue and not social confrontation.

"We show our predisposition to consider the proposals within the negotiation table and in the II Collective Agreement as a whole as long as there is a firm commitment to constructive negotiation. We believe that it is necessary to sit down at the negotiation table and thus reach an agreement that satisfies all the parties, all this without seriously risking the company's reason for being and the future of all of us who are in it", he pointed out.

Yesterday, August 30, the 94 flights operated by Iberia Express passed without incidents related to the strike called by the USO union, transporting 13,900 passengers.

The day closed with a punctuality of 90.4%, having registered nine flights with delays of more than 15 minutes caused by operational reasons totally unrelated to the USO strike, according to the company.
