Iberia Express will operate this Monday 90.4% of scheduled flights on the second day of strikes called by USO

MADRID, 29 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Iberia Express airline plans to operate a total of 94 flights this Monday, which it hopes will take place without incident, since they are all protected by the Minimum Services Resolution established by the Ministry of Transport.

These flights represent 90.4% of the flights scheduled for today, since the airline has canceled in advance and preventively 5 round trip flights (1 to Gran Canaria, 1 to Malaga, 1 to Mallorca, 1 to Santiago and 1 to Seville) scheduled for this Monday, with the aim of minimizing the impact on its customers.

The company assures that of the 1,300 passengers affected by these cancellations, 1,000 have already been relocated, either on other Iberia Express or Iberia flights or on other companies or alternative means of transport; and the rest have requested a voucher or reimbursement, or are waiting to choose the option that suits them best, be it alternative transportation, reimbursement, voucher or change of date or route.

The airline assures that it has made the decision to preventively cancel the flights "in order to ensure their interests and ensure that they are provided with an alternative in advance."

Iberia Express makes a new appeal to the responsibility of USO, the union that called the strike, to call off the strikes and "commit to dialogue and not to social confrontation, which does so much damage to Iberia Express workers, to its customers and to the future of the company.
