The hearse that transports former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe arrived this Saturday morning at his home in the Shibuya district of Tokyo.

The car has arrived in the capital of Japan around 1:30 p.m. (06:30 a.m. Spanish peninsular time) on Saturday, according to the Japanese television network NHK.

After performing the judicial autopsy at the Nara Medical University Hospital – where Abe was treated after arriving in cardiorespiratory arrest as a result of a gunshot – the hearse left the hospital before 06:00 (23:00 Spanish peninsular time). ).

Before the car headed to the basement of Abe's home, in front of the house, the president of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), Yasuo Fukuda, and other political officials paid their respects to the deceased.

Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe died this Friday after being shot during a campaign rally in the town of Nara, located in the southwest of the country.

The confirmation of the death, collected by the Japanese news agency Kiodo and the NHK television network, came hours after Abe went into cardiorespiratory arrest during his evacuation to a hospital after being shot in the back. The suspect was later arrested.

The detainee had been identified as Tetsuya Yamagami, 41 years old and a former member of the Maritime Self-Defense Force, without for the time being the motivations for the event have been clarified, which has been branded by the Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, as "act barbarian".
