The Government of Germany has granted this Tuesday to Ukraine a new aid loan worth 150 million euros through the State Development Bank (KfW), within the framework of measures to mitigate the impact of the invasion by Russia. , triggered on February 24.

The German financial entity has revealed that during the day it has signed, on behalf of the federal government, the loan agreement with the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance. Thus, it is another unconditional financial loan from the German Government for Ukraine.

The so-called Emergency Economic Assistance Program for Ukraine is intended to provide the Ukrainian government with liquidity to pay for state social spending, pensions, as well as the salaries of school and hospital staff and medication orders.

"We are helping to avoid a drastic worsening of the supply situation for a large part of the population and we can cushion, at least partially, the socioeconomic effects," said Christiane Laibach, member of the KfW board of directors, as reported by the agency. German DPA news.
