Gamarra calls Sánchez a "trilero" for the unemployment data and accuses him of reserving money from the Budget for the campaign

MADRID, 3 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The general secretary of the PP, Cuca Gamarra, has branded this Tuesday the president, Pedro Sánchez, a "trilero" for "make up" the unemployment data, while accusing him of only thinking about "collecting more every day" and " have more money" to "use it for the electoral campaign.

In an act from Logroño, where she has come accompanied by the mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, to present the candidate for mayor, Conrado Escobar, the 'popular' general secretary has indicated that the unemployment data, which in December registered a drop of 268,252 people - the lowest figure at the end of the year since 2007 - "are not good", urging members of the Government "not to be happy" but to "recognize with humility that they are failing" and adopt "structural measures".

Gamarra has attacked the current count of discontinuous permanent workers and has demanded "transparency in the data." "Sánchez is a trilero politician who changes the rules of the game to see if we don't realize the reality", which is that the discontinuous permanent workers "disappear from the statistics" of the unemployed, he has pointed out. Thus, he has warned that the "make-up" of the figures, "denialism" and "propaganda" will not be able to "hide the reflection of the street."

Also in an economic key, Gamarra has warned that 2023 "will not be an easy year" due to the price of the shopping basket, the rise in mortgages or the price of electricity, but the year begins with a new tax , something "Sánchez's house brand", in reference to the new plastic tax.

The spokeswoman for the PP in Congress has also assured that the tax will allow more collection "than what families will earn from the VAT reduction" on basic products, insisting that the president is "thinking of collecting more every day".

For Gamarra, the measures of the head of the Executive are not a "social shield" but an "electoral shield" that "shows that he only thinks about buying the vote." "He thinks about raising more and having more money to use in the electoral campaign," he added.

During her speech, the PP general secretary stressed that the 'popular' will be victorious in the 2023 municipal, regional and general elections and this victory will mean "the change of negative coalitions" and "the political degradation" of Sánchez.

"One legislature has been enough," he warned, before warning that citizens "will not forget" that the president "does the opposite of what he promised."
