Forward James Anderson reinforces UCAM Murcia

MADRID, 25 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

American forward James Anderson, who was proclaimed Euroleague champion last season with Anadolu EFES, will play next season at UCAM Murcia, the university club confirmed this Saturday.

The man from Arkansas, 33 years old and 1.98 meters tall, will play for the first time in the Endesa League after four seasons in the NBA and seven in the Euroleague, which he has won twice -both with the Turkish team-.

He began his career at Oklahoma State University before being selected 20th in the 2010 Draft by the San Antonio Spurs. In the North American league, he played four seasons with the Spurs, Houston Rockets, Sacramento Kings and Philadelphia Sixers. In this last franchise, he played 80 games, averaging 10 points per game.

In the 2014-15 academic year, he signed for Zalgiris Kaunas and achieved his best scoring records, with 14.5 points and 5 rebounds per game, data that earned him a return to the NBA. On his return to Europe, he played for Darussafaka and Russian Khimki before joining Anadolu EFES.

With the Istanbul team he has achieved three consecutive 'Final Fours' and has managed to win two Euroleague titles in the last two seasons.
