Feijóo sees the Trans Law "another legal botch" as the 'yes is yes' and accuses the Government of "disrespecting women"

The leader of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, sees the Trans Law as "another legal botch" that "follows the path" of the "only yes is yes" rule and has accused the Government of "dividing feminism" and "missing respect for women."

This was expressed by Feijóo at the closing ceremony of the presentation of the PP candidate to the City Council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Jimena Delgado, where he regretted that Congress had definitively approved this week the Trans Law and guarantee of LGTBI rights because it has been done "against doctors, lawyers, the feminist collective and the fathers and mothers of trans children."

"They have followed the same path as the 'only yes is yes' law, which is to impose minority ideology on common sense and the rights of citizens," he warned, criticizing that after "reducing the sentences for rapists, now A minor under 16 years of age is allowed to change the sex freely, by going to the civil registry.

Feijóo has said that a PP government would make a Trans Law, but not this one that, he has said, "will last as long as Pedro Sánchez and Podemos last in the Government", an Executive that he has called "collapsed".
