Feijóo is "glad" that the decision of the Prosecutor's Office restores Ayuso's "honorability", which "should never have been questioned"

The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has assured this Friday that he is "glad" that the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office has filed the investigation into the brother of Isabel Díaz Ayuso and, in this way, restores the "honorability" of the Madrid president who, in his opinion, "it should never have been questioned".

"I think the truth wins. I have managed health in Galicia and Spain for a few years, and I was convinced that a regional president has no responsibilities in terms of purchases, of supplies in hospitals," he declared when asked if with that decision of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office Ayuso wins and Pablo Casado loses, after this matter will unleash an internal war between Puerta del Sol and the previous leadership of the PP.

In this sense, he stressed that he was "absolutely convinced" of the Madrid president's absence of responsibility for the contractual dynamics and purchasing procedures in hospitals within the National Health System.

In an interview on Telecinco, which Europa Press has picked up, Feijóo has affirmed that with this decision of the Prosecutor's Office "the honorability of a person who has been basically attacked by the left is restored" and "the truth is restored, which is the most important".

Thus, the leader of the Popular Party has pointed out that Ayuso is a person who "has not committed any irregularity" and, therefore, "does not have to be suffering an absolutely unnecessary ordeal."

"I am very happy, firstly for the functioning of public services and, secondly, because I think that the president of the Community of Madrid was treated in a way that I did not share", he stated, to underline that Now Ayuso's "honorability" is valued, which, in his opinion, "should never have been questioned".

When asked if he has received any calls from Casado to congratulate him on the results in Andalusia, where the PP achieved an absolute majority, Feijóo has indicated that before the end of the electoral count, when they already had a majority, he sent him a WhatsApp.

The leader of the PP has indicated that he responded to that message and thanked him very much for continuing to be "interested in his party, which is still the PP", which achieved "historic electoral success" in Andalusia because "they had never" achieved an absolute majority in that community.
