Feijóo charges Sánchez for "authorizing" the PSC to fail to comply with 25% of Spanish to continue in Moncloa: "It is the minimum"

MADRID, 25 May. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has harshly charged the head of the Executive, Pedro Sánchez, for "authorizing" the PSC to agree with the independence movement to leave Castilian without the percentage of 25% requested by the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC) and has attributed it to the fact that he only seeks "to be able to spend a few more months" in the Moncloa Palace.

"25% of classes in Spanish is the minimum to which a Catalan student is entitled, the minimum. I am much more in favor of a balance of languages. In Galicia, 50% of the subjects are in Spanish and 50% are in Galician. That is balance and cordial bilingualism", he declared at a press conference in the Senate.

Feijóo, who on Wednesday took possession of his seat as a senator by autonomous appointment of the Parliament of Galicia, has criticized the fact that it has "agreed to avoid compliance with a sentence that simply establishes the co-official status of languages in a bilingual community".

At this point, he stressed that when "the violation of the rule of law, which is compliance with judgments and laws, has the approval and the umbrella of the Government, then the erosion of State institutions is verified once again with the pact between the Catalan independence movement and the Socialist Party of Catalonia".
