Factum, owned by Banco Santander, promotes a new line of cybersecurity business for SMEs

MADRID, 3 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Factum, the cybersecurity company owned by Banco Santander, has developed a specific branch of cybersecurity solutions for small and medium-sized companies, as reported in a statement.

The company has increased its team dedicated to these tasks by 20% in order to cope with the expected volume of business. The demand for cybersecurity solutions by this type of company, which accounts for the majority of the Spanish economy, has increased with the launch of the Digital Kit programme.

According to industry surveys and studies, ransomware attacks increased by 150% in 2021, translating to an average of 270 cyberattacks per company, with SMEs considered the weakest link in the chain.

The CEO of Factum, Iosu Arrizabalaga, has highlighted that the firm's solutions focused on this segment not only protect the systems of SMEs themselves, but also help ensure the security of large companies that hire them as suppliers.
