Ezentis presents allegations to SEPI to try to reactivate its rescue

MADRID, 27 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Ezentis has presented this Monday a letter of allegations that, from his point of view, proves the eligibility of the firm for the rescue of 70 million euros from the State Society of Industrial Participations (SEPI), which it rejected in the first instance.

The company received an email from the public entity in which it was concluded that it did not meet certain eligibility requirements, with which the analysis of the request was not continued, according to the statement and the notification sent to the National Securities Market Commission ( CNMV).

"Based on the foregoing, Ezentis has submitted arguments requesting, through the aforementioned brief, the reformulation of the report so that it is allowed to continue with the analysis of the Support Request, since it considers that all the necessary aspects have been proven to favorably determine the eligibility of companies requesting public aid," the statement said.

The firm requested a rescue last May to face the payments of a debt that exceeds 150 million euros with the Arcano and Muzinich funds, as well as with a group of banks formed by BBVA, Banco Pichincha, Banco Santander, Caixabank and EBN.

In the event that the ransom request, whose deadline for approval would be Thursday, is not resolved favorably, the telecommunications services company continues to explore other avenues.

Ezentis shares, after being suspended from trading last Friday, are listed this Monday with falls of over 16%, although the collapse exceeded 30% in the early stages of the session.
