Espinosa (Vox) finds it difficult for the TC to declare the plenary session of Congress null and void by postponing its decision until Monday

The Vox spokesman in Congress, Iván Espinosa de los Monteros, sees it as "very difficult" for the Constitutional Court (TC) to declare the plenary session of Congress this Thursday null and void after they have postponed their decision on the appeal until Monday. of the PP to stop the parliamentary processing of the reform of the court itself, giving free rein to the Congress of Deputies so that it could vote yesterday.

"Since it has no longer been suspended, it will be very difficult, whatever happens on Monday, that what happened yesterday stops happening. They could decree that what happened had zero effects, I don't think so," he said in an interview on Telecinco, collected by Europa Press.

Straight away, Espinosa has qualified that later it will be discussed whether it is constitutional or not, but has warned that this decision will be addressed by "magistrates who have been chosen by these same deputies."

For this reason, he has claimed the importance of judges choosing judges because, as he has emphasized, the mere fact that it is known that there is a magistrate named Cándido Conde Pumpido and he is progressive or that there is another one called Pedro González -Trevijano, who is a conservative, "these are imbalances in democracy that should not occur."

Likewise, the leader of Vox has pointed out that in a democracy it is "fundamental to keep the procedures", at the same time that he has assured that what was approved yesterday "could have been approved with due procedure" because the majorities are the same, although this would have taken them longer.

"But the procedures are very important because everything that is done in accordance with the law can be discussed, but everything that is done in circumvention of the law should not be allowed," stressed the parliamentary spokesman for Vox.
