Escrivá highlights the "extraordinary" employment data in June, despite the "complicated context"

MADRID, 4 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, José Luis Escrivá, has valued the "extraordinary" employment data published this Monday for the month of June, despite the "complicated context" marked by the war in Ukraine and the escalation of prices.

Through his Twitter account, Escrivá has highlighted that the registration data for June show that employment growth is accelerating with 77,000 more affiliates --in seasonally adjusted terms--, "an extraordinary figure compared to the years prior to the pandemic and that doubles the increase of previous months". The semester ends, thus, with 263,000 more employed, as indicated by the minister.

With this growth, Spain exceeds the level of employment prior to the pandemic by 616,000 employees and registers a "special" job creation in the private sector and in high value-added activities, such as IT or Health, according to the minister. .

In addition to creating jobs in innovative sectors, Escrivá has pointed out that the positive effects of the labor reform are intensifying, especially in the increase in permanent contracts. "The increase in permanent contracts means that 79% of affiliates in June have a contract of this type, 9 points more than usual, with a special impact among young people," he emphasized.

In spite of everything, and despite the complicated context, Escrivá has remarked that the employment data continue to be extraordinary, since in June the creation of employment accelerates, the affiliation is consolidated above 20 million and employment improves its quality.
