Errejón opens up to sharing campaign events with Podemos but clarifies that 19J is not a "casting" of possible alliances

He understands the "morbidity" but rejects speculation and highlights the good role of Nieto in the debate against a PP without ideas for Andalusia

MADRID, 7 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The leader of Más País, Íñigo Errejón, has been willing to support any act that the 'Por Andalucía' coalition requires of him during the 19J campaign and, therefore, is open to sharing the stage for the first time with the leaders of Podemos after the split.

In this regard, he has commented that tomorrow he will begin his participation in the events of this unity candidacy of the left and has refused to speculate on possible alliances for the national sphere, since this campaign is not a "casting for Spain" but rather elections clearly Andalusian.

"I am available for the acts that are required of me. The important thing is to support (...) I understand part of the curiosity but the important thing about the campaign is Andalusia and, therefore, being useful to the Andalusian campaign. Not useful to the speculations of the past, the future or Spain", he emphasized at a press conference in Congress, questioned whether he would be willing to share acts with charges from the purple formation.

In this way, his presence remains open for the great campaign event that will take place on the 14th in the Sevillian town of Dos Hermanas, a rally that will bring together the second vice president, Yolanda Díaz, the leader of Podemos and Minister of Social Rights, Ione Belarra, the head of Equality, Irene Montero, and the federal coordinator of IU and Minister of Consumption, Alberto Garzón.

On the other hand, Errejón has not been announced for another of the relevant events of the campaign that will take place in Córdoba next Saturday with Díaz, Belarra, the general secretary of the PCE, Enrique Santiago, the candidate for the Junta de Andalucía for the coalition , Inmaculada Nieto, the head of the list for Cádiz and member of Podemos, Juan Antonio Delgado, and the 'number one' for Seville and leader of Más País, Esperanza Gómez.

This Wednesday the leader of Más País opens in an act in Seville together with Esperanza Gómez, the coordinator of IU in Andalusia, Toni Valero, and the candidate of the left-wing coalition María José Izquierdo, emphasizing that it will not be the only event in who will be present.

Regarding the debate between candidates for these elections yesterday, Errejón stated that he really liked the candidate for 'Por Andalucía' to preside over the Junta de Andalucía, Inmaculada Nieto, compared to other candidates who saw it as a "boxing match".

In his opinion, Nieto focused on the issues that really matter to citizens, with a proactive tone so that Andalusia "gets out of the queue" in terms of economic development indices. Above all, they congratulated him on his initiatives in the field of fighting climate change and reindustrialization, since they are the "future" for the progress of the autonomous community.

Faced with this, he stressed that the current Andalusian president, Juanma Moreno, seemed like a "very trained actor" in terms of gestures before the cameras but did not see "neither ideas nor projects" for the region in his speech.

He did see "aberrant" projects by the Vox candidate, Macarena Olona, and has regretted that Moreno has not "detached" himself from the proposals of the person who aspires to be his vice president.
