Cs advances that, together with the PP, they will appeal the new Catalan law in schools to the Constitutional

MADRID, 27 May. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The president of Ciudadanos, Inés Arrimadas, has announced this Friday that they have proposed to the Popular Party to appeal to the Constitutional Court the new Catalan law in the schools of the PSC, ERC, Junts and the commons - when it begins to be applied -. "They have told us yes, that we are going to go together", assured the leader of the 'orange' formation.

In an interview on esRadio, collected by Europa Press, the deputy for Barcelona has explained that they have invited Vox and the 'popular' to go to the Consell of Statutory Guarantees to prepare a report on this law. "If everything goes according to reason, a serious and thoughtful report on a law, normally, is not done in three days", he pointed out, while detailing that this opinion is mandatory, but it is not binding, so the law will go ahead.

Of course, he has assured that from Cs they are going to denounce the Minister of Education for "disobedience" and "everyone who comes forward" and has the responsibility to apply it. For this reason, the 'orange' leader aspires that the same common front that has requested this report from the Council of Guarantees go to the Constitutional Court and that deputies from other formations can be added to it, among which they have appointed those from UPN, Sergio Sayas and Carlos Adanero.

The president of Cs has taken the opportunity to address her party's proposal to reform article 2 of the Spanish Constitution and eliminate the distinction it makes between "nationalities and regions". She has added that, at the time of writing, it was thought that nationalism would be "calmed down". "As it has already been seen that it is not, that it is also used torturingly by nationalism, we are going to be brave," she asserted.

In this sense, he has predicted that the PP will vote against this reform because "they continue to think that they have to go to Catalonia to talk about nationality and that Galicia has its own language." For this reason, he has assured that the PP has a strategy and that things have to be seen in their context: "If Feijóo goes to Catalonia and talks about nationalities, Feijóo speaks of Galician as his own language, if he believes that there is an identity Galician and on top of that he talks about a multinational state, because that is no longer a slip".

"We have never questioned this issue," he stressed, while making it ugly that "PP people" have criticized them for being "centralists." "I want this to be debated in Congress," added Arrimadas, who has not spoken about this matter with Feijóo.

In another key, the leader of Ciudadanos has charged against the Government for the appointment of former Justice Minister Dolores Delgado as State Attorney General. Arrimadas, who has described it as "infamy", has added that "they have put a safeguard through the back door so that this woman can ascend and have a position for life".

In this sense, he has announced that they are going to present a proposal so that "what the Prosecutor's Office has done with the 'Stampa case' be classified as a crime of influence peddling". According to what he has slipped, the text is ready and they are going to register it "in the next few days".
