Credit Suisse appoints Dixit Joshi as new CFO

MADRID, 22 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Credit Suisse, the second largest Swiss bank, has appointed Dixit Joshi as the entity's new financial director from next October, when he will assume the responsibilities that David Mathers has held for the last eleven years.

In this way, Joshi, who for the last five years has held the position of treasurer of Deutsche Bank, will return to Credit Suisse, where between 1995 and 2003 he worked in the bank's offices in New York and London.

Likewise, Francesca McDonagh, who was previously announced as CEO for the EMEA region, has been appointed COO of the group from September 19, 2022, while Francesco De Ferrari, general manager of the wealth management division, who has acted as interim managing director of the EMEA region, has been permanently appointed to the role with immediate effect.

From his side, Michael J. Rongetti will assume the position of interim CEO of the asset management division with immediate effect, replacing Ulrich Körner, who was appointed CEO of the Credit Suisse group.

Ulrich Körner, who took over the reins as CEO of Credit Suisse on August 1, stressed that the new appointments bring extensive professional experience and in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry.

In the case of Dixit, he has highlighted that it has an impressive turnaround track record, with extensive experience in a variety of investment banking businesses, which will be invaluable in transforming investment banking into highly competitive banking and a more sustainable market business.

Credit Suisse announced the appointment of Ulrich Körner as the entity's new CEO to replace Thomas Gottstein, after registering losses of 1,866 million francs (1,904 million euros) in the first half of 2022 and announcing a program to reduce to half term its cost base below 15,500 million francs (15,816 million euros).
