Covite compiles 339 acts of homage to ETA prisoners in the first seven months of 2022

The Collective Victims of Terrorism in the Basque Country, Covite, has counted in these first seven months of the year a total of 339 public acts of homage to ETA prisoners.

According to data published in the Covite Radicalization Observatory, collected by Europa Press, this year there have been 24 tributes to deceased inmates of the terrorist organization, a single ongi etorri, 37 popular festivals, 120 demonstrations, while o exhibited 118 graffiti or banners, and another 39 initiatives have been registered in favor of prisoners of the gang.

The territory in which the most acts have been carried out has been Vizcaya (133), followed by Guipúzcoa (111), Navarra (35), Álava (30) and seven in other provinces, while 23 have been detected abroad.

In January, a total of 43 actions were recorded in favor of ETA inmates, in February 51, in March 50, while in April, the month in which they increased the most, 77 were recorded. In May, 52 were held, in June 53 and the lowest number occurred in July, with 13 activities of this type. Specifically, last month two tributes were held to deceased prisoners of the gang, Mikel Castillo and Juan Carlos Hernando González.
