CC.OO. warns of mobilizations if the Government does not raise the salary agreed to port workers

MADRID, 27 May. (EUROPA PRESS) -

CC.OO. has warned the Government that it will announce mobilizations in the coming days if the wage increase agreed in the General State Budgets of 0.9% for 2021 and 2% for 2022 is not processed soon, which has not yet been applied to the port public workers.

These are more than 5,000 workers who have not yet received the 2021 salary increase, nor this year's, which the union describes in a statement as "unfair salary freezing and against the laws."

"We extend the responsibility for the de facto salary freeze to the Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda herself, since she was duly informed by this union, with no other response than to shrug her shoulders and look to the other side, like the Ministry of Finance", has criticized CC.OO.

For all these reasons, if no response is received, the union will soon announce mobilizations to speed up the procedures and achieve the update of the salaries that must be applied to all public workers.

"We want to convey to the public that this is the reality of the staff of the state-owned ports. The Ministry does not even pay what it owes to its own workers who face, like any other citizen, galloping inflation close to two digits, with their salaries frozen", added CC.OO.
