CaixaBank reaches 36% of its repurchase of shares with the investment of another 90 million euros

MADRID, 4 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) -

CaixaBank has already executed 36.5% of the maximum amount of its share repurchase of 1,800 million euros, having acquired 195.64 million shares to date for a total amount of 657.83 million euros, as notified to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).

The bank has announced that last week it acquired 26.5 million own shares at an average weighted price of 3.4007 euros each, which represents an investment of 90.16 million euros.

This share buyback program will not exceed 10% of the bank's share capital and is executed through Morgan Stanley Europe SE.

The acquisitions are being made in the Spanish Stock Exchange Interconnection System-Mercado Continua, as well as in DXE Europe, Turquoise Europe and Aquis Exchange.

The repurchase is included within the remuneration provided for in the Strategic Plan that the entity has designed for the 2022-2024 period, presented on May 17. Specifically, CaixaBank plans to generate around €9,000 million of capital that it plans to distribute among shareholders until 2024 through cash dividends and repurchase programs.
