Borràs sees "out of place" interrupting the minute of silence for 17-A and alleges that he did not greet the man who shouted

But it justifies that there were people demanding "to know the truth" to whom he admits that he did greet

BARCELONA, 18 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The president of Junts, Laura Borràs, assured this Thursday that "it is totally out of place to interrupt the minute of silence" this Wednesday for the victims of the attacks in Barcelona and Cambrils (Tarragona) in August 2017 and alleges that she did not greet to the man who yelled. But she justifies that there were people with signs demanding to know the truth to whom she says he did greet.

In an interview on Catalunya Ràdio collected by Europa Press, she has guaranteed that both she and the leaders and supporters of Junts made "scrupulous and respectful silence" during the minute of silence, in which a man exclaimed 'We are going to give them a little scare to the Catalans' and 'Murderer Spanish State'.

He explained that about 20 minutes after the tribute he greeted a group of people carrying signs with the slogans 'We demand responsibilities' and 'We want to know the truth' and that he assures that they had nothing to do with the man who shouted, to whom he said who did not greet: "You will not find any video where I have greeted that person".

"That there were a hundred people who demanded to know the truth responds to the fact that it has been five years and there are many questions. Families and victims want to clarify the facts, and not only them, a society that has lived these events has to be able to know what happened", declared Borràs.

When asked about the person who argued with one of the victims after the tribute, she expressed that "the victims are always sacred and the acts for the victims too", and she stated that this Wednesday was a day in which the victims were the protagonists, in their words.

On the other hand, Borràs has stated that he will continue to go to Parliament despite the fact that the Table suspended it at the end of July after it was sent to trial, and has assured that he will continue to do his job from Junts.

"That the presidency of the Parliament has been suspended is a very serious fact, whoever occupies it. That the result of the polls was 52% of the votes for independence and that this is not translated into the people who have received this commission , this is what has to worry us extraordinarily", he assured.
