Bolaños stresses that the solution to the blockade of the CGPJ does not lie with the European Commission, but with the PP: "Let no one be deceived"

MADRID, 28 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños, wanted to make it clear this Wednesday that the solution to the blockade of the renewal of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ), which has been in office for four years, does not depend on the European Commissioner for Justice or his visit to Spain this week, but of the PP, which in his opinion has been "four years" with excuses for not agreeing on the appointments.

In statements in Congress, Bolaños has assured that the relationship between the Government of Spain and the European Commission is "magnificent" and assures that he respects the private or public meetings that Commissioner Didier Reynderes has been able to hold or will hold in Madrid.

As he assures, "of course" that the Government is going to "listen and attend" to the commissioner "with all the capacity" that it has, but he stresses that the solution is not in the hands of the Belgian liberal politician, but in the PP.

"Let no one be deceived, and no one deceive," he warned. "The renewal of the Council does not depend on the commissioner's visit, but on the fact that the PP leaves behind four years of shame in which it is discrediting Spain outside the borders ".

And he does not rule on the possible resignation of the president of the CGPJ, Carles Lesmes, to try to force that pending renewal, since he insists that "there is no responsible gold than the PP." "The PP has to abandon these four years of kidnapping of the judiciary and has to be aware of the damage it is doing to the country's prestige," he reiterates.

In his opinion, "the important thing is that the PP is aware that it cannot maintain the kidnapping of the Judiciary for another minute." "I ask Alberto Núñez Feijóo to leave the blockade behind, to be aware of the damage it is doing to the Judiciary and to the country outside the borders, and to comply with the law and the Constitution - he has summoned -. There is no more time to waste."
