Bolaños says that the energy saving plan is applied "normally" and criticizes the "irresponsible" opposition of the PP

The Minister of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Democratic Memory, Félix Bolaños, stressed this Saturday that the energy saving plan is being applied "normally" and has criticized the irresponsibility of the PP in this matter.

"The merchants, the shopping centers and the citizens are having a greater responsibility than the main opposition party, absolutely irresponsible and contrary to everything," he stressed.

Bolaños has pointed out that this plan is demonstrating two things: that the PP "is opposed to everything", against the criteria of European governments and the majority agreement of all the political forces in Europe, and that when its leader, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, speaks, "You have to have a little patience and wait for the boss to speak", referring to the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso.

"What a piece of paper Mr. Feijóo is. In Spain, dancing to the tune that some regional leader marks him, and in Europe, going against the tide of all the European governments of different colors in the need to save energy in our country," he criticized.

The Minister of the Presidency, Relations with Parliament and Democratic Memory has also drawn attention to the lack of a single position in the PP regarding regional financing, which poses a difficulty when it comes to implementing a new model.

"If Mr. Feijóo sent something, there would be a single position in the Popular Party, but there are different positions in terms of regional financing. Madrid or Andalusia? If Mr. Feijóo answers this question, it will be easier for us to move towards a new model", he declared.

On the other hand, Bolaños has pointed out in his statements that despite the fact that high inflation rates are being registered in all surrounding countries, the Government is "taking measures" that have helped the CPI to be 3.5 percentage points lower to what it would be without those decisions.

In addition, he added that the forecast of national and international organizations is that the rise in prices will moderate from September.

The minister added that despite the uncertainty, there is optimistic news such as the decrease in the price of electricity thanks to the Iberian exception, which has allowed the amount to be below that of other surrounding countries.

The price of gasoline is also falling and this Saturday it is at its lowest levels since May, as Bolaños recalled, due to the 20-cent bonus provided by the Government, among other factors.

Among other news, Bolaños has highlighted the opening of a photovoltaic plant in Extremadura, the largest in Europe. "This commitment to renewable energies is a strategic commitment of the Government of Spain, and this photovoltaic plant is an example of what we want for our country", he pointed out.

Regarding the Midcat gas pipeline project, Bolaños explained that he intends to have more interconnection with the rest of Europe, which means greater energy autonomy with respect to Russia. The Government is ready to have the Spanish part of the gas pipeline ready within eight or nine months.
