Bolaños downplays the discrepancies with Yolanda Díaz and assures that they always reach agreements

MADRID, 6 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Minister of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Democratic Memory, Félix Bolaños, has downplayed the discrepancies with United We Can within the Government after the second vice president Yolanda Díaz requested the urgent convocation of the coalition's monitoring commission . Thus, he has ensured that despite the fact that they sometimes have "different visions" they always end up agreeing.

In statements to the media before inaugurating the Summer School of the Complutense University of Madrid together with the Pablo Iglesias Foundation, in El Escorial, Bolaños assured that the coalition government agrees "on the fundamentals" that in his opinion is to take action to protect the middle and working classes.

Along the same lines, he has assured that they want to continue the remainder of the legislature working in this direction and has warned that the right and the extreme right are going to have a "very long" one and a half years until the next general elections.

Bolaños responded in this way when asked about the internal clash in the Executive after the discrepancies on account of the increase in defense spending and the agreement with the United States to increase the number of destroyers at the Rota military base. In both cases, United We Can has expressed its disapproval and has also accused the socialist wing of approving an increase in spending of 1,000 million euros for Defense without a prior agreement.

In any case, Bolaños has tried to cool down the confrontation and has pointed out that the coalition is continuously working to alleviate the economic and social effects of the war and trying to protect the middle and working classes with hundreds of measures.

"Of course, sometimes we have different visions and nothing happens because we solve everything by talking, sitting at the table and we always agree, because our objective is to work for the social majority", he transferred.
