Biden urges Iran to end violence against its own citizens

MADRID, 15 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The President of the United States, Joe Biden, has urged Iran this Friday to end the violence against its own citizens and has positioned himself with them and with the "brave Iranian women", after which he has assured that women from all over the world are being persecuted with these actions.

"I was amazed at what he woke up in Iran," he assured, referring to the protests developed by the murder of Mahsa Amini. "I want to thank you for raising your voice. I want to thank the Persian community for being so clear (regarding their demands)," said the US president.

"Women should be able to wear what they want in the name of God," she said during a speech at the public school Irvine Valley College in California.

The mobilizations for the death of the young Mahsa Amini have left more than 200 dead in the country, according to the non-governmental organization Iran Human Rights, while Tehran has accused the United States and other Western countries of inciting the demonstrations.
