BBVA Argentina appoints Carmen Morillo new financial director

The board of BBVA Argentina has learned of the dismissal of Ernesto Ramón Gallardo as financial director and has appointed Carmen Morillo Arroyo to carry out his duties, as notified to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC, for its acronym in English). ).

Likewise, it has appointed Carmen Morillo Arroyo and Eduardo González Correas as heads of relations with the market and the industry, as well as Inés Lanusse and Gabriela Valdez as alternates.

Ernesto Ramón Gallardo was director of finance at BBVA Argentina since 2017. Previously, he was director of financial management at BBVA Bancomer, director of COAP America, global director of fixed income of 'asset management companies' at Banco Santander and director of fixed income and arbitrations at Societe Generale.

The new financial director has been linked to BBVA for more than 20 years, most recently as global head of discipline and performance evaluation.

Last week, BBVA notified the SEC that the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA) had not opposed the appointment of Lorenzo de Cristóbal de Nicolás and Gustavo Fabián Alonso as directors of BBVA Argentina.
