BBVA AM incorporates Mikel Navarro, formerly of Santa Lucía AM, as the new head of European equities

MADRID, 2 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

BBVA Asset Management has hired Mikel Navarro as the new head of European equity strategies, as well as the range of thematic funds, as reported by the entity in a press release.

Navarro joins from Santa Lucía Asset Management, where he has been responsible for equities for the last seven years, although the first two were developed at Santa Lucía Seguros. Previously, he was an equity manager at entities such as Banco Sabadell, Allianz Popular and Vetusta Group.

As Head of European Equities, you will lead a team made up of four professionals who currently manage almost €3 billion across different vehicles and strategies.

BBVA AM explains that this incorporation gives continuity to the investment philosophy of recent years where the main source of differentiation of its equity products focused on Spain and Europe lies in the selection of companies in the medium and long term.
