Batet orders to attend to the judge's request to access the effects of 'Tito Berni' as soon as possible

The president of Congress, Meritxell Batet, has requested that the request made by the judge instructing the 'Mediator case' be fulfilled as soon as possible, who has requested authorization to access the effects that the former deputy of the Canarian PSOE Juan Bernardo Fuentes Curbelo, nicknamed 'Tito Berni', was left in the office that he had been occupying in the Chamber until he left his minutes on February 14.

According to sources from the Presidency of Congress, on Monday afternoon the order of the magistrate of the Investigating Court number 4 of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Ángeles Lozano Cáceres, arrived at the Chamber, requesting authorization for the delivery of the personal effects of the alleged ringleader of the 'Mediator' plot, which are still in the aforementioned office.

After receiving the order, Batet has sent a letter to the Congressional Commissioner and the General Secretariat of the Chamber, agreeing that the request of the judicial body be complied with as soon as possible. He has also communicated the agreement adopted to the magistrate.

In her order, the judge recounts that she already contacted the Special Congressional Commissioner directly to request information about the effects that could exist in the office and from Carrera de San Jerónimo they answered her without problem.

Specifically, in the old office of Fuentes Curbelo, which is closed and has not been assigned to any other deputy, the desktop computer owned by the Chamber that he used and another series of personal effects remained. In his arrest, the judge already intervened in the congressional motive used by the former parliamentarian.
