MADRID, 27 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The deputy secretary general of Ciudadanos, Edmundo Bal, assures in an interview with Europa Press that he does not see Alberto Núñez Feijóo as president of the Government for what in his opinion are "blunders" by the president of the PP, to whom he recommends "study more ". However, he believes that the PSOE is making the wrong strategy for "herding" against Feijóo continuously, he believes that it generates "twitching" and political disaffection.

As for the Government, he considers that it is "clumsy, negligent and is not adopting the measures it should" to contain inflation. In addition, he affirms that he does not believe Pedro Sánchez even when he says good morning because he moves by "survival instinct" and considers that the PSOE has dug its own grave by falling into the hands of ERC and Bildu. In his opinion, the socialist voters will not forgive him.

The leader of the orange party is convinced that the "Feijóo effect" in the polls is like the one that existed with the "Yolanda effect" that also "hit a high" when he announced a transversal platform that was going to "include everyone ". However, Bal believes that these are "waves", which he calls the "newness of the moment" due to the curiosity aroused by a new leader.

But after this, he considers that the voters go to the bottom and begin to ask who that person really is, to analyze his abilities, the policy he has carried out in Galicia -- he criticizes the Xunta's campaign so that the students speak Galician "24 hours of 21 days"--, or the statements he has made about Catalonia.

In the case of Feijóo, Edmundo Bal believes that he is making "absolutely tremendous mistakes" in reference to some of his statements and cites, for example, those made about Catalan nationality or the statement that transport between the Canary Islands is carried out in Jetfoil, when it went out of use in 2005.

In his opinion, "you have to study the canutazos to avoid screwing up." For this reason, he has a "fairly regular" feeling with Feijóo's "capabilities" and his conclusion is that he does not see him as president. "Honestly, I have to say that from what I have seen of Mr. Núñez Feijóo, I say it with all due respect, I do not see him as President of the Government," he says.

In addition, he accuses the 'popular' of now doing the politics that Ciudadanos does. He believes that the PP copies them. And he gives as an example the request to the Government to deflate the personal income tax rate that "the PP did not even know what it was." He also believes that they have copied the gesture of reaching out to the Executive that Bal himself had made at a press conference.

At this point, he considers that the government's strategy of not sitting down with Feijóo is wrong. In his opinion, he should "hold hands" with the PP at least once "to see if the PP is serious" because he believes that "the PP is not serious." According to Edmundo Bal, the PP "wants now to appear before public opinion as a moderate to get good feelings and make useful politics, but it does not show it."

However, the leader of Cs believes that the Government is making the wrong strategy by being "herding against Feijóo" all summer. He thinks it's wrong not only from the point of view of education and parliamentary courtesy, but he believes that the use of "very thick words" against the main opposition party encourages "nervousness" and generates "disaffection in the citizenry." ". "What the PSOE is doing is something pernicious for democracy," he insists.

Although he also believes that the real mistake has been made by the Socialists since the beginning of the Legislature and has been to choose as partners the "usual suspects of attacking the good name of Spain" such as Bildu and ECR. "They only need to be able to have a minister in the cabinet because it is already clear that they are going to finish the legislature with them," he added.

And he regrets, in this sense, that the PSOE has not reached agreements with the PP and Cs as in other European countries. "What a pity the radicalization in which the PSOE has fallen", he exclaims. His conclusion is that "the PSOE, with this, has dug its own grave, because the socialist voter, throwing himself into the arms of Bildu and ERC, will never forgive him."

In fact, he hopes and wishes that in the next elections there will be a "change in the political cycle" and he will work "as much as possible" so that Pedro Sánchez does not remain in power and "Spain is not governed by Bildu and by ERC".

In fact, he believes that inflationary processes such as the one being experienced at the moment "never benefit governments" and in the case of Pedro Sánchez, he affirms that he is not benefited either by the fact that he is "clumsy, negligent" and is not taking the decisions "that have to be taken". In this sense, he harshly criticizes the measure of subsidizing the price of fuel by 20 cents because, he alleges, "all the economists have said that it is counterproductive against inflation."

But he also warns that the situation may worsen when the European Central Bank raises interest rates, which will directly impact the price of the mortgage and at that time, he pointed out, a "dramatic situation of evictions" will be seen in Spain. Meanwhile, he adds, the government "does nothing."

Bal's criticisms focus directly on Pedro Sánchez, whom he assures that he does not believe him even when he says good morning. "Pedro Sánchez is a person who moves every day by an absolute survival instinct," he adds when asked if he trusts that the general elections will be held when he plays. But he does believe that with the polls giving the PP an advantage, Sánchez will have no interest in anticipating the elections.

As for United We Can, he is convinced that even if they fight with their partner, they will not leave the Government: "it shows that they like the official car and the carpet more than anyone else and they are not willing to lose that privilege of any of the the ways." "That's what happens to them later in the polls, that people begin to distrust them," he points out.

On whether he would support a PP government with Vox, he points out that they have never negotiated with Vox and never will: "We will talk to the PP and it's over." What he does see is a "certain desire in the media for there to be" bipartisanship again.

But he warns that he is going to fight because that does not happen and people do not forget the "sin" of the PP and the PSOE. They are, according to the quote, "distributing the State, the CGPJ, RTVE, the EFE Agency, colonizing the CIS, the administration with its friends, the State Attorney General's Office or trying to control the Second Chamber of the Supreme Court from behind."

But he believes that the "greatest sin" of bipartisanship has been giving in to nationalism even when the PP and PSOE governments had an absolute majority.
