Ayuso believes that the PGE seek to "annul Madrid" and demands a test that independence is not financed in Catalonia

SAN SEBASTIAN DE LOS REYES (MADRID), Oct. 7 (EUROPA PRESS) -

The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has criticized that the General State Budgets seek to "annul Madrid" and has demanded to verify that the independence "corruption" in Catalonia is not financed.

The Government of Pedro Sánchez has foreseen in the PGE for 2023 an investment in Catalonia almost double that arranged for the Community of Madrid. Specifically, Catalonia will receive 2,508.92 million euros, while the State in Madrid will invest 1,305.35 million.

Speaking to journalists, after attending the 2022 Eduardo Barreiros Foundation Automobile Awards, at the Madrid Jarama Circuit - RACE, he maintained that "the use of public money for the last year of the legislature will be carried out through the accounts of Mr. (Pedro) Sánchez".

"Behind this campaign is the annulment of Madrid and the President of the Government will be able to explain tomorrow in Getafe why he gives twice the funding to Catalonia compared to the Community of Madrid, which he always underfunds," he said, in relation to the act party that Sánchez will have this Saturday in the Madrid municipality.

Ayuso has criticized the Minister of Finance and Public Function, María Jesús Montero, and has pointed out despite the fact that they try "in a Manichaean ranking" to put that "Madrid is third". Thus, she has remarked that due to the GDP that Madrid contributes to Spain and the number of population they have, they are "very underfinanced".

He has also urged the Government to explain why "they give Catalonia twice as much funding as Madrid" and also ensure "that the money of all Spaniards" will not "pay the independence movement for the corruption they have set up to divide Spaniards in Catalonia, to ruin companies and to always do the same thing".

"At least they explain and ensure that this money goes to finance schools, hospitals, airports, for the fundamental things of the Catalans and not for this independence issue, which is what always happens," he declared.
