Asens (UP) warns ERC that his government in Catalonia "has its days numbered" if it does not reach agreements with the PSC and 'commons'

The president of the United We Can parliamentary group in Congress, Jaume Asens, has stated that the new ERC Government is the "weakest" in the history of Catalonia and that "its days are numbered" if it is not capable of reaching agreements of permeated with the progressive forces, that is, with the PSC and the 'commons'.

This scenario shows, in his opinion, that instability has prevailed in Catalonia and now, with the ERC Executive alone with independent directors, an "even weaker" Government is reached, which gathers the support of only 33 deputies with the that "no party is leaving" if a stable and progressive majority is not negotiated with the arch of the left.

In this way, the leader of En Comú Podem has been very critical of the intention of the Catalan president, Pere Aragonés, to extend the regional public accounts and not try to achieve a new agreement on budgets, which is the most important tool of a executive to deploy policies.

At this point, Asens has pointed out that the 'commons' do not consider entering the Executive but they put on the table, as at the beginning of the legislature, that there is a parliamentary majority to the Junts that is "viable". Therefore, he has again urged Aragonés to "look to his left" in search of parliamentary support and that saying that he wants to extend budgets is "a sign that he is going in a direction that no longer works in Catalonia".
