Abascal urges to "kick" Sánchez, after Algeria's decision, to regain sovereignty and international prestige

MADRID, 8 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The president of Vox, Santiago Abascal, has defended this Wednesday "throwing out" the chief executive, Pedro Sánchez, to regain sovereignty and international prestige because, as he has said, his "whims" mark Spain's foreign policy, after Algeria has suspended its friendship treaty with our country due to its "unjustifiable" spin on Western Sahara.

"I warned the autocrat this morning and a few hours later the prediction is confirmed," Abascal wrote in a message published on the social network Twitter, collected by Europa Press, in which he made reference to the plenary session of Congress convened by Sánchez to explain the change of position on Western Sahara and the extraordinary European Council held last week.

In the publication, Abascal criticized that "the whims of a leader can never mark the foreign policy of a country." "It is urgent to kick Sánchez out to recover sovereignty, economy, security, affection and international prestige," he has claimed.

In plenary, the leader of Vox has accused the President of the Government of being "subjected" to the interests of Brussels, Morocco or even Germany and has demanded that he recover "sovereignty" to defend the interests of the Spanish.

In this context, he has reproached Sánchez for his attitude towards Morocco: "Normal that they receive him with honors after assaults on the border that have had no cost to them, 'Pegasus', energy suicide and the gift of the Sahara".

The president of Algeria, Abdelmayid Tebune, has announced the "immediate" suspension of the friendship treaty signed with Spain almost two decades ago in retaliation for his "unjustifiable" support for Morocco's autonomy plan for Western Sahara.
