The Catholic Church of the state of Kaduna, in northwestern Nigeria, has stated that a priest has been kidnapped, in the midst of a series of similar incidents that are plaguing the country, as reported by the British BBC.

Friends of Father Emmanuel Silas, who has disappeared, have realized that he had been kidnapped after he did not show up for mass this Monday morning and was not seen at his home, as confirmed by Father John Mark to that chain.

Two Catholic priests were kidnapped over the weekend in the Nigerian state of Edo (south), just a few days after a priest was kidnapped and killed by unidentified armed people in this same area of ​​the African country.

Last week the body of priest Christopher Odia was found, kidnapped when he was going to give a mass in Ikabigbo, as confirmed by the Catholic Diocese of Auchi. The 41-year-old man was the administrator of the Saint Michel Catholic Church.
