Vox wants to have access to the minutes issued on Sunday by the polling stations to verify the results

MADRID, 27 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Vox has asked to have access to the minutes of the general elections of last day 23 issued the same election night to verify the correctness of the results and "that the counting of the votes cast by the Spaniards has been carried out correctly."

Santiago Abascal's party already advanced on the same Monday that it would request the general scrutiny of the elections, as it has done in all the elections held previously, according to the party's general secretary, Ignacio Garriga.

Its objective is to check, through the party's proxies, the minutes resulting from the voting on Sunday to rule out any error in the counting of the ballots.

Vox stresses that the general elections of this 23J "have been special" due to the date chosen, in the middle of summer. This, as he points out, has caused "voting by mail to skyrocket" causing "chaos in the distribution of documentation to cast the vote."

The general scrutiny of the elections is carried out by the provincial electoral boards starting this Friday through a second count in which the votes cast by Spaniards living abroad are added to the votes deposited on Sunday at each table. electoral.

For this, they will not have these last ballots -which according to the law have to be destroyed unless they were not considered valid or were the subject of some claim-, but only with the minutes filled out by each polling station on election night.

The minutes contain, in addition to the results, the data of the voters, the summary consignment of the claims and protests that may have occurred, as well as the agreements adopted by the polling station, and all the incidents that may have disturbed the order of voting and the scrutiny.
