The union demands that the sick leave be linked to this new agreement and asks to implement the 35-hour day

MADRID, 28 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) -

UGT has demanded an agreement from Telefónica that "blind guarantees" before the ERE announced by the company this month and has demanded that the company clarify the schedule adjustment mentioned in its last meeting.

Likewise, the union considers that it is necessary for the company, before undertaking a new workforce adjustment, to commit to the internalization of services and 'reskilling', in order to make the workforce employable.

UGT has clarified that the details and negotiation of the ERE will correspond to the tables that each of the intercenter committees must establish and will accommodate the legal deadlines set for this.

Likewise, he stated that "any exit plan will be linked to the signing of a new Related Companies Agreement with a minimum duration of 3 years that protects the staff and their working and economic conditions."

In turn, the union demands that the sick leave be linked to this new agreement and asks to implement a 35-hour day.

All of this, without prejudice to the fact that people who may be affected by the aforementioned ERE have "guarantees and conditions similar to previous exit plans."

In relation to this new agreement, UGT has explained that although it conceives the debate and confrontation of ideas as an essential part of collective bargaining, it can advance that the positions of the union and the company "are far apart."

In this context, UGT has marked "its red lines", among which the salary structure, the guarantee regime or the salary review clause that allows Telefónica workers to maintain the purchasing power stand out.

UGT is also committed to including improvements such as a dental reimbursement policy for the entire workforce, expansion of social benefits, improvement of teleworking, relocation, expansion of permits, enhancing social funds or professional projection in work groups and adaptation of the depositioned lower levels.

In addition, UGT continues to focus on the consolidation and improvements of rights for non-agreement staff.

The union has also declared its request to paralyze the movements proposed for 1004 and those caused by the closure of buildings and has announced that this Thursday the 30th there will be a new meeting in which progress will be made in the negotiation of the issues raised for the new agreement. collective.
