Three people arrested after the altercations at the arrival of the remains of Primo de Rivera

MADRID, 24 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The National Police have arrested three people after the altercation registered between the followers of José Antonio Primo de Rivera and the security forces upon the arrival of the funeral procession with the remains of the founder of La Falange Española at the San Isidro cemetery.

As Europa Press has been able to verify 'in situ', the National Police have arrested three people who have been transferred to police stations. The arrest takes place after nearly 200 Falangists have broken the police barrier that kept them away from the necropolis and have struggled with agents at the moment in which the remains of the politician arrived, exhumed this Monday from the Valley of the Fallen.

With shouts of "Arriba España", "Criminal Government" and "First you murder and then you desecrate", the Falangists were on the sidewalk in front of the cemetery protesting the exhumation of the remains of Primo de Rivera. When the hearse has arrived, they have very easily managed to break through the police barrier deployed for this purpose, confronting the agents.

The followers of the founder of La Falange have also sung 'Face to the Sun', the Falangist anthem, and have unfurled La Falange flags and banners with the face of the politician and with the writing: "José Antonio Primo de Rivera ¡Presente!" . All this while some Falangists sang with their arms raised.

After the altercations, the Falangists have continued chanting some messages such as "José Antonio Primo de Rivera", "Homeland, Justice, Revolution" or "Where are the voxeros", in reference to the followers of the Vox political party.

It is not the only criticism that they have launched, since they have reproached the relatives who have not "fought enough" to prevent the exhumation of the politician who died during the civil war.

Specifically, they criticize the "silence" of the Primo de Rivera family and that they have not waged a legal battle and in the media to defend their relative, giving as an example that the relatives of the dictator Francisco Franco did "give up the battle". so that it would not be exhumed from the Valley of the Fallen.
