They investigate the murder of a 49-year-old woman shot by her ex-partner in Pizarra (Málaga)

The Civil Guard investigates the murder of a woman shot by her ex-partner in Pizarra (Málaga) this past night and in the middle of the street, as confirmed by sources from the armed institute to Europa Press

The alleged aggressor left the scene and took his own life using the same firearm. Both were residents of this town and there were no previous complaints, as added by the same sources.

The Pizarra City Council, as a consequence of this tragic episode, reported by SER Málaga, has condemned the "terrible sexist crime" and has decreed three days of mourning in the town, as reported in a press release.

The alleged attack would have occurred around one in the morning, on the street where she lived with her two children, in the central area of ​​the town. Shortly before this time, neighbors heard several gunshots and called the Local Police, who were the first to arrive at the scene.

The City Council has reported that the victim, 49 years old, and the alleged aggressor, 52, had been separated for a decade and, now, the woman had begun divorce proceedings. The couple had two children together, ages 16 and 23.
