The Villanueva de Viver fire maintains the ground deployment and the entry of 23 aerial means is expected

The night passed without notable incidents and the weather helped to carry out maneuvers by ground operations

The fire declared last Thursday in the Castellón town of Villanueva de Viver maintains the ground deployment this Tuesday to contain the fire and the entry of 23 aerial means is expected.

As reported by '112 Comunitat Valenciana', during the night there has been no notable incident with the fire, as the director of the Advanced Command Post has pointed out.

In addition, the fire that has broken out in the Montán area --in the southern part-- is being monitored with a drone from the Military Emergency Unit (UME) to contain its advance.

In the Fuente la Reina sector, maneuvers have also been carried out to defend the flank, which presents areas that are difficult to access by land resources.

The weather has been favorable during the night and is helping the execution of the maneuvers of the ground operatives. Today work will continue in the defense of the evicted populations and in the protection of life and property of the people, the same sources have indicated.

Thus, for this Tuesday there are no plans to de-escalate resources: the ground deployment is maintained and the entry of 23 aerial means is expected.

The municipalities evicted as a result of the fire are Fuente de la Reina, Puebla de Arenoso, La Monzona, Montanejos, Montán and Arañuel, Higueras, Pavías and Torralba. And the evicted districts are Los Calpes, Los Cantos, La Monzona, La Alquería de Montanejos and La Artejuela and Villanueva de Viver.

According to the latest data, the number of hectares burned so far is 4,300 and the affected perimeter is approximately 50 kilometers.

The number of people evicted amounts to 1,600 and so far the fire has not affected any protected area.
