The Supreme Court confirms that the return of unaccompanied minors from Ceuta to Morocco in 2021 was illegal

Points out the "absolute non-observance" of the procedure provided for in the Immigration Law

MADRID, 22 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The Supreme Court (TS) has confirmed that the return of unaccompanied minors from Ceuta to Morocco in August 2021 was illegal because it did not follow the procedure provided for by the Immigration Law.

The magistrates have concluded that the return of the minors was carried out by the Spanish authorities with "absolute disregard" of the requirements established by the Immigration Law.

In the ruling, reported by Europa Press, the Contentious-Administrative Chamber has considered that the rights to physical and moral integrity of the returned minors were violated.
