The PSOE requests the "urgent" appearance of the President of the Government of Aragon, Jorge Azcón, before the regional Parliament, after his "deafening silence" with the "scandal" that has led to the appointment of the General Director of Justice, Esmeralda Pastor, " with a Francoist profile".
The spokesperson for the PSOE parliamentary group in the Parliament of Aragon, Mayte Pérez, has demanded this Saturday --morning-- Jorge Azcón, the "immediate" dismissal of Esmeralda Pastor as Director General of Justice for "flaunting Francoism " by publishing a photograph "without qualms with an unconstitutional flag on their social networks".
As Jorge Azcón has not spoken, Mayte Pérez has requested the urgent appearance of the Aragonese president before the Plenary Session of the Parliament of Aragon.
Pérez questioned what type of professional profile Jorge Azcón chose to represent a sector that, above all, "must ensure that democratic principles and the rule of law are preserved." In this sense, she has also blamed the president of the Government of Aragon for bringing "a new profile similar to that of the president of the Cortes", Marta Fernández.
Pérez has affirmed that with this appointment the community has another position that, as with that of the president of the Cortes, puts the image of Aragon "into question".
"After more than two months of delay in forming a government and another two weeks of institutional vacuum, its spokesman, Mar Vaquero, argued that the delay entailed the choice of suitable professional profiles", recalled Mayte Pérez, who is now wondering which one has been the criterion of this choice.
The socialist spokesperson has underlined her rejection of the values of Esmeralda Pastor for "advocating denialism, denying sexist violence and defending the legacy of the dictator Franco" on her social networks.
