The PSOE refuses to meet again with Feijóo before the investiture and blames the PP for generating the problem in Catalonia

He reproaches the PP for not supporting "the solutions" proposed by the socialists and only receiving contempt and disrespect

The PSOE will not meet again with the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, before the investiture session on September 26 and 27, as the 'popular' president had requested. He has also accused this party of generating the current problem in Catalonia and of not supporting the solutions proposed by the PSOE.

"And it is not the first time that the Socialist Party has to solve problems generated by the Popular Party. And when we propose solutions, not only do we never have the support of the Popular Party for anything, but we are only faced with noise and contempt for the Socialist Party. , lack of respect," indicated the acting Minister of Education and Vocational Training and spokesperson for the PSOE, Pilar Alegría, in a message recorded from Ferraz.

Without explicitly mentioning the amnesty or Catalonia, the socialist spokesperson has regretted that the PP does not support the "solutions" proposed by the socialists while accusing them of being in the hands of the extreme right by having closed another pact with Vox in a regional government, in this case in Murcia.

In this sense, Alegría affirms that they agreed to meet with Feijóo last week out of "institutional courtesy" and that in that meeting they asked him to carry out the renewal of the General Council of the Judiciary, which has expired for 4 and a half years.

"We have not received a response from them and they continue to delay a situation that lasts more than 1,700 days," he reproached and therefore affirms that they are not going to meet with a PP that in his opinion is in the hands of Vox after another pact in a regional executive.

"You are the crooked lines of the European right. While the German CDU closes the door to the ultras, you lay the rug of the Popular Party for them," he added.

In this way, the PSOE responds to the proposal of Feijóo who requested a new meeting with Sánchez after the former president of Catalonia Carles Puigdemont made public his conditions to support an investiture.

Alegría has indicated that Feijóo must clarify himself with his own party before asking to meet with others and thinks that he is using an entire country to postpone his internal problems at the head of the Popular Party.

In this sense, he has accused him of lacking a sense of state and of being only concerned "about his status at the head of the party" which in his opinion will be "questioned" once his "fake" investiture ends.

Therefore he has asked himself why he asked for a month while at the same time accusing him of irresponsibility "for which all citizens are paying."

Furthermore, the socialist spokesperson has reproached the leader of the PP for today having the same support that he had on the election night of 23J. "A fairly poor balance" that she shows that they can only agree with Vox. Finally, she has pointed out that Feijóo's "flight forward" is delaying the only viable government "with Pedro Sánchez at the helm," she has indicated.
