The PSOE maintains that the PP delays the holding of debates because it is concerned about Feijóo's "aptitudes"

He insists that Sánchez has already accepted the proposal of various media and urges Feijóo to decide which debates he goes to and which ones he does not

The PSOE Organization Secretary, Santos Cerdán, has sent a new letter to the PP Institutional Vice-Secretary, Esteban González Pons, in which he accuses Genoa of delaying negotiations on electoral debates to delay their holding.

He also considers that the 'popular' are concerned about the "aptitudes" of their candidate, Alberto Núñez Feijóo and that is why they do not want him to debate with the Prime Minister and PSOE candidate, Pedro Sánchez. Finally, they urge Feijóo to decide which debates he plans to attend and remind him that Sánchez has already accepted the four invitations that he has on the table.

In this new letter, Cerdán responds to the proposal sent this Tuesday by González Pons, in which they agree to hold a 'face to face' between Sánchez and Feijóo and open the door to include the first vice president and leader of Sumar Yolanda Díaz.

The number three of the PSOE has described the PP proposal as "eccentricity" while accusing it of lengthening the negotiation process so that debates are not held.

"I understand that the skills of your candidate must worry you a lot so that you are taking so much trouble and reputational cost for your party," he says.

In addition, it reiterates that the PSOE has already accepted the debates raised by various communication groups: A3MEDIA, RTVE, MEDIASET and PRISA and has shown itself to be available to them to discuss "from tomorrow", as it has assured, in the format " face to face" between Sánchez and Feijóo. "Also in the formats for four that are on the table", as he points out below.

Cerdán stresses his annoyance at what he considers a "strategy of delaying or even canceling the debates", which in his opinion "steals" citizens the possibility of going to the polls with the maximum possible information to cast their vote.

"I don't think that a party like yours, which has governed this country and aspires to do so again, has to offer an elusive and fearful image in the face of such a necessary contrast of ideas," he reproaches.

Finally, he has summoned his interlocutor to decide "urgently" in which debates of those raised by the communication groups they want to participate in order to agree on the basic rules and that they can be held as soon as possible. "For our part you will not find many obstacles in this regard either," she says.
