The PSOE comes out in a storm against Feijóo for his "cynicism" about gender violence after the pact with Vox in Valencia

MADRID, 16 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Several PSOE officials have come out in a rush to criticize the PP president, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, and have accused him of "cynicism" and "hypocrisy" for his response to Vox number two in Valencia, who stated that gender violence does not exists. From the PSOE they blame him for making these statements and at the same time for having reached a pact with this formation to govern in coalition.

This same Friday, the Vox deputy in the Valencian Community, José María Llanos, affirmed that "gender violence does not exist" while defending the concept of intrafamily violence. The day before, PP and Vox had signed a government agreement in this community that included the latter term and avoided mentioning sexist or gender violence.

However, Feijóo responded to these statements by contradicting Llanos and pointing out that "gender violence exists and every murder of a woman shocks us as a society," according to what he indicated on his Twitter account.

This is the message that several leaders of the PSOE leadership have now used to criticize the leader of the PP, whom they reproach for making these statements and at the same time "laundering" Vox with his pacts, in a cascade of messages on this social network, collected by Europa Press.

Thus, the Minister of Finance and Public Function and Deputy Secretary General of the PSOE, María Jesús Montero, has indicated that "it is difficult to imagine a greater demonstration of cynicism and hypocrisy. Feijóo now recognizes gender violence and not even 48 hours ago he signed with Vox a pact of shame in which its existence is denied," he said.

Along the same lines, the Minister for Territorial Policy and government spokesperson, Isabel Rodríguez, has criticized the agreements in Valencia and Ciudad Real, her native province. Thus, she has assured that what Feijóo is signing with Vox is to repeal equality policies and end the protection of victims of gender violence. "Without complexes and without shame", she has ugly her.

Likewise, the secretary of Organization and number three of the party, Santos Cerdán, has reproached the PP for signing an agreement to govern with Vox "that denies sexist violence and replaces it with 'domestic violence'." He also maintains that his only project is to "assume the ideological frameworks of the extreme right."

The secretary of Equality and number four of the PSOE, Andrea Fernández, has expressed herself in similar terms. "These government pacts are not bleached by a tweet," she launched at Feijóo. All those mentioned attach the tweet of the 'popular' leader to their messages.

"Don't lie anymore. You play and negotiate with those who defend this barbarity. You have become their accomplices," wrote the leader of the Socialists in the European Parliament, Iratxe García.

"You cannot fight something that your partners say does not exist, and that you sign. Either with the victims or with Vox. Feijóo has chosen. On 23J he will choose citizenship", indicated the president of the Senate, Ander Gil.

Other socialist leaders such as the president of the PSOE and vice president of the Senate, Cristina Narbona, the secretary of Electoral Action of the Federal Executive, Javier Izquierdo and the head of Municipal Policy and vice president of Congress, Alfonso Rodríguez Gómez de Celis have published similar messages in the who have used the label
