Likewise, the Public Ministry has highlighted its "tireless work to improve the situation in the region, despite the difficult circumstances," after the anti-drug prosecutor of Cádiz, Ana Villagómez, has publicly denounced that drug gangs "are rampant." "and that the public force lacks sufficient means to confront drug trafficking.

As reported by the Civil Guard, the three crew members of the aforementioned drug boat are 21, 24 and 28 years old. All of them are Spanish, with a history of drug trafficking, attacks on an authority agent, injuries, crimes against property and money laundering.

The remaining two arrested, since there are a total of five detainees, are 34 and 54 years old and are also Spanish, with a history of drug trafficking and smuggling, who would have gone in a vehicle to Sotogrande to allegedly pick up the three crew members of the boat. involved in the facts.

They are all in the cells of the Civil Guard of Algeciras, with plans to be transferred to the Cádiz Command, while the proceedings are being instructed by the mixed Court number one of Barbate.

As explained by the Armed Institute, on the afternoon of this past Friday, the Civil Guard had established a device in the Port of Barbate to identify the occupants of several high-speed boats.
